Message	mechanical inspection yet, including compression, do so. If it that inspection indicates the car is in good condition then make a list of everything that you think needs to be done to make you satisfied with it. If that number plus what you paid for the car is over say 13 to $15,000 and your car already has 80 to 90,000 miles on it, IMO it's time to look for another car. That much money should put you in a car in very good condition with half as many miles. Chance favors the informed.
